To start developing the foraged tea as a product, we first performed a basic flavor match of the liquid tea, before subsequently working to determine what compounds likely contribute to the efficacy of this supplement system. As a part of this process, we also established minimum thresholds from the ingredients as well as in the extractives. With this development of the taste and supplement system, we worked to develop a product that met the critical cost requirements while being profitable to self-distribute through e-commerce.
Ultimately, to deliver both superior taste and shelf stability of the tea, we produced the tea as a stick pack with a single dosage per day as a ready to mix beverage. To handle production, a complex supply chain was designed to deliver powderized ingredients to be blended at a stick-pack co-packer.
